Top 6 Blogs for Creative Thinking + Innovation

Tuesday 25th August 2009 | 2 comments

Today my blog post is about other people's blogs, some of the places I hang out for business and creative inspiration.

In no particular order:

Keri Smith describes herself as 'author, illustrator and guerilla artist'. Her Wish Jar blog is packed with quirky ideas and inspirations - and if you have ever bought a journal but found it too pretty to write in (or never found something quite brilliant enough to put on the first page) then her book, Wreck this Journal, will be your saviour.

Ken Roberts' blog is about 'leading a life of quiet inspiration' and the name itself says all you need to know: Mildly Creative is wise and brilliant stuff.

Paul Hassing writes soo well, he makes small business a creative and riveting read. Check out his Small Business Owner blog and see what he's talking about this week.

If you haven't spotted the Zen Habits blog yet, you're missing the most practical and simple and, well, zen, approach to productivity, balance and life I've seen so far. Leo Babauta is a very wise man.

if it's creative career blogs you like, you can't go past Penelope Trunk's Brazen Careerist blog. Quirky, useful, fun.

For a high concept look at 'books, films, theatre, art and talk events, with a view to understanding how political and other ideas filter through the culture, and how the arts in turn influence politics and society more generally' take a look at Culture Wars. Ok, it's not strictly a blog, but it's VERY good.

If these are not enough for you, go to Alltop and assemble your own list...

(And if you know where there's more blogging gold, do let me know.)

  1. Thank you so much, Joanna. To be mentioned among such esteemed company, by such an accomplished writer, is a real honour. I'm thrilled to a large number of very small bits! Best regards, P. :)
