My last post for 2011 was a list of questions, and I can't resist the urge to bookend and make my first 2012 blog about questions, too. It's because January is often a month for questioning your current job or career (especially if you find yourself near-hysterical at the thought of having to go back to work!). If that's you, pay attention to the signals you are receiving from your mind and body. It's time to search for a better working life...

I run a program called the Escape Hatch, because it is my belief that we should all find our strengths, tap into our passion and get paid for it. Because of this, I'm seeing a lot of unhappy people in CorporateWorld at the moment - mainstream professionals or executives who feel stifled, trapped by their own success, people who are looking for the exit but aren't sure where to start.

Whenever I run a workshop or give a presentation on creative thinking, I talk about the value of curiosity - it's one of the 4 cornerstones in my 4 cornerstones model. It's all very well to tell people to 'Be Curious' but unless you offer some practical tips, it's about as useful as saying 'Be Happy' (and just as irritating).
