A couple of weeks ago, I was awake at 3am. (This will not surprise regular readers...) I did some worrying, then decided to find something to read on my Kindle. I came across Seth Godin's latest book, Poke The Box. (I don't remember buying it, but there it was).

Last week, I went to the Creative Innovation 2010 conference in Melbourne. In one of the workshops we discussed whether all innovation has to result in big, game-changing results, or whether sometimes a smaller, incremental change might work better. I raised the question of risk appetite, which proved a bit provocative (fine by me).

I was lucky enough (actually, privileged enough) to attend the inaugral TEDx Sydney event at Carriageworks a couple of Saturdays ago. So many ideas, so many fascinating people on and off the main stage. Amazing day. Apart from 'discovering' Missy Higgins (as usual, I am the LAST person in the whole world to do so) one of the highlights for me was listening to a guy from South Australia's Flinders University talking about whether compromise is the best option, at least most of the time.
